Tuesday!! You smell the popcorns and nachos? hehe :)

This week's review, the highly awaited(by me) Resident Evil: Extinction
Following closely to the prequel, Extinction begins showing Alice going through a dream-like scenerio during part 1(wakes up in bathtub and wearing the red dress ending up in the laser chamber)and ends up killed in the hospital. When the idea of "This confirm is a dream" keep circulating your mind, Dr Isaac appears and this all actually is a test for the clone of Alice..

The actual intro then cuts in.. with the usual Alice commenting on the current situation.. The world is now a barren wasteland, all non-water areas are affected by desertification... looking just like the settings of Resident Evil 5 on the PS3 :P Somehow, Alice is not with her gang who rescued her in the prequel. She travels alone searching for a place where there's no infection. She finds a diary stating Alaska is the place...

The heads of the Umbrella corporation finally shows with Wesker(irony) as the leader. It seems that they are trying to mutate the infected with Alice's DNA to control the virus, giving them intelligence(Somehow, smart zombies are the 'in' thing now).

Claire Redfield, appearing as the leader of a convoy takes her people around the states, looking for resources and survival with Carlos and LJ.. They got attacked, by infected crows(finally) and the coolest part of the movie shows..

The remaining survivors head to Las Vegas in search of fuel but was attacked by the mutated zombies sent by Isaac, who got bitten himself(stupid ass).. Carlos got bitten in the process to stay alive and sacrificed himself to allow the remaining gang to get into Umbrella's base and steal the chooper to head to Alaska(i added a minor parody)..

Isaac injected the anti-virus into himself and mutated into Tyrant.. The final showdown between Alice and Isaac is nothing spectacular and of course, ended with Isaac dead.

Overall, this is an entertaining piece. Just that it doesn't feels like survivor horror anymore. Alice is way too powerful, she's like using gameshark on your game console. Anyway, catch it, u won't be disappointed :)
