An american was taking a vacation in mexico and was siting by the harbour enjoying the scenery and admiring the people. Not long after came a fishing boat with a mexican in it looking rather happy. He had just caught several large fishes that seemed to be able to fetch a good price.

Seeing that, the american went over to the mexican and said, "Nice catch! how long did it took?"

The mexican replied with a great smile, "just a while!"

Puzzled, the american asked, "why don't you stay in the sea longer and then you can get more?"

The mexican humbly replied, "This will be enough to last me for the day."

The american got more curious, "What are you gonna do the rest of the day?"

"Im going to sell the fish, buy some food back and spend time with my family, play with my kids, sing to my wife and drink beer till the sun goes down!"

The american wasn't really satisfied and said, "Im a harvard business graduate, i can help you maximise your income and enrich your life more! You have such talents for fishing, you should stay in the sea longer, catch more and then earn more!"

The mexican asked, "What will i do after that?"

"You can then start your own fishing business after that! Dealing with import and export. You will make a big fortune!!"

"How long will that take?" the mexican asked

"15 to 20 years"

"So what after that?" the mexican asked again

"After your business takes off, you will be a millionare! you will be so rich you can spend time with your family, play with your kids, sing to your wife and drink beer till the sun goes down!" the american said excitedly..

"But isn't that what im doing everyday now? Why should i have to wait for 15 to 20 years to do what im doing everyday?"

The period that mom came back this year~~
Was quite a short period imo but i think we shared quite a lot of quality time 2gether :D
Went Cambodia, had dinner with lots of people, brought them for ITour, drove them around..
So much to do yet so little time..
My siblings are growing real fast as the years goes by!! I think they will like overtake me in terms of height and language power in a few years more :x
I got to improve my jap!! My piano!! woot..

Well at least i didnt let mom down and managed to get a 2nd lower for my degree.. Didnt really think i can achieve that as i must really admit that i didnt put in effort during my final year.. It must be the works of my guardian angels :P Now is just the wait till Apr when she come back again for my convo :D Till than~~

Woot Cambodia trip was awesome!!

Took lots of pictures and had lots of fun~~

pretty hot there its almost like a 2nd army days for me :x

Siem Reap was filled with tourists and the people there basically make a living by selling stuff to tourists there.. The place actually reminded me of Malaysia just that the people there have more integrity.. they are poor but they do not steal/rob or cheat which i think is really a good thing.
On a side note.. hope the Japanese company accept my application hehe... would be really fun there i guess :P

Met up with Koksan for Taking of Pelham 123~~

Quite a nice movie despite the lousy rating by rotten tomatoes >.<

do catch it while its still showing hehe

Spent the rest of the nite at Orchard Central~~

Verdict: will be quite a nice place to hang out with the classy rest areas

and nice view of the city~~ :D Dinnered at Ootoya~~ Beri nice and homely food~~ good service from the staffs also~~ Hope it wont drop as the place gets more populated >.<

A full day outing with the peeps!! Below are the chain of events:

1.40 pm - Met Peiling at Lido for the Hokkaido Food Fair and bought 10 Manjyus and a cup of Sappro :D

2 - 2.30 pm - Took a few snapshots of the parading cosplayers at Taka
2.30 - 3 pm - Lunched at Yoshinoya after finding out Pepper Lunch closed down :x

3 - 3.15 pm - Walked to atrium to wait for the gang while taking more pictures (Doesnt the dino looked like Kashari in it? :P)
3.15 pm - Received a call frm dear Alan saying they just left Shane house! Nice~~

3.15 - 3.45pm - Continued taking photos of the parading cosplayers

3.45 pm - Arrival of Quinn and Andrew
3.45 - 5pm - Continued our photo taking with the cosplayers
5 pm - Arrival of Alan and Shane
5 - 5.15 pm - Bus trip down to PS for the movie!
5.15 - 5.30 pm - Shane's quest to look for keyboard in Yamaha :D

5.30 pm - Arrival of Simon!

5.40 - 8.30 pm - Transformers Revenge of the Fallen!!! Nice, Long and worth the $10 :D

8.30 - 9 pm - Queue for Cafe Cartel dinner
9 - 11.15pm - Dinner!!!11.15 - 1+am - Bean curd at Selegie~~

1+am - 2+am - Arcade playing at Parklane and chit chat at McDonalds

2+am onwards - HOME!!! Super tired and sticky from the humid weather!!

late afternoon was me solo-ing drums!! wheee i was only satisfied with the free style drumming though :S

evening was with lots of couples watching breakout..they pay while watching but i earned while watching :) (i emoed during the last part when they danced even when facing death :x)

nite was with esplanade and the breakout crew!!! Peiling+Mingyun was like so mesmerized!! >.<

The show was too dramatic but i tink i learnt some lessons from it :D (even nuns can fall in love.. so can u, Do what ur heart desire even facing death :D)

Woot.. rather long day.. went to watch twilight wif HY, Kiki, YH, TY and gf yesterday for my belated bdae outing..
Was a rather nice show but too little action..

Do you have a chinese calendar that provides you with fortune for the day for each zodiac?

If you do, dont mind take a look each day to see if its "吉", "中" or "凶" for reference and at the end of the day evaluate it.

Just attended a wedding of a i-dunno-who-they-are distant relative..

upon reaching (The Regent), all i see was seas of elders in suits @.@
upon seated, all i see was green chilli and no peanuts @.@
upon starting the night, all i heard was a lousy chinese interpreter and soundless live performance @.@
upon being served, all i had was rather tasteless dishes (except the dessert) @.@
upon leaving, all those i congratulated are ppl whom i never really understood who they are @.@

4pm-7pm : Tuition...

The ice creams were nice!! With 24 flavours to choose from(free flow), free flow of waffles too~~ :D

I'm now a fan of WALL-E!!!

This is a simple yet interesting movie talking about the future, when earth is overpopulated with rubbish and can't support life anymore. A megacorporation "Buy N Large" controls the entire world. When i mean control, it refers to every services and management(government). Seeing that earth cannot support life, Buy N Large sponsored for the residents of earth to live in space on board a ship named Axiom.

Wall-e are robots left behind to clear up the mess in effort to make life sustainable on earth again. Centuries passed and only 1 WALL-E is left operational. Overtime, he has developed human personality and emotions (having a cockroach as a pet, music and about holding hands).

EVE then appeared in his robot life.. and WALL-E falls for her.. The movie then shows WALL-E trying to hold EVE's hand and serveral disasters in which they try to save each other.

What i liked about this movie is the simplicity yet innovative concept.

Simplicity is that the emphasis on holding hands to potray love is really beautiful. I believe love should be that simple, holding hands and enjoying the moment or going through obstacles together.

Innovative is in the way how the producers visualize the future. Humans became so reliant on robots in the film that they do not even have to walk and as a result they are total couch potatoes(needing help to get back on the chair when they fall off). Pollution as such a serious problem that no life can survive on earth clearly delivers the message to viewers that its time we think about the place we live in and stop killing it. Corporations became so powerful that it overtakes the government.

Watch it and you might become a fan of WALL-E, just like i did :)

1 thing though, did they design WALL-E to be like ET or is it just me? :P

welcome to the premier of i'm now a fan of... series~~
well, as the topic suggest, i'll be introducing the people/bands/animals/organisms etc.. whatever that caught my eye~~ :D

For start.. i'm now a fan of the band "Aluto"!!!
Its a duo band consisting of 藤田大吾(Guitar/Vocal) and 佐藤帆乃佳(Violin/Chorus)

They started out as street performers and then somehow and someway, their song: "Michi~To You All" is used as Naruto Shippudden ending theme and woot~~ they made it big!!
The violin is really beautiful (the girl too >.<)~~ and the songs are the kind that i like: distinctive beats and listening makes you feel like you are on a vast ankle-high grassland with cool breeze blowing towards you :D

Read the news yesterday and its reported that ERP prices are set to increase by $1 and the addition of several more gantries. Their reason for doing so is to allow those who pay to use the road are ensured to have a smooth driving experience and by increasing the price they expect traffic speed in CBD areas and expressways to increase by 5-10km/hr. This movement is also to promote the use of public transport.

Regarding this.. don't all commuters pay a yearly road tax to be on the road? Its not as if those middle/low income personnels don't pay road taxes.. During the time where inflation and oil prices are reaching for the sky, our dear government decide to implement this total rubbish(not the best time right~?).. ok we middle/low income people might turn to public transport, but alas!! prices for that just rose too didn't they!! Its really Pay And Pay :P

So what now? Are we to walk to work? Will we be having ERP gantries just outside each of our home eventually? Or should we just start going home later to avoid the ERP timings? By going home later sounds like the most viable solution, but then, where would the citizens have time and energy to "produce" more local talents(BABIES :D) which our again, dear government is consistantly pushing for?

It might seem $1 is not much... lets do some maths here:
ERP Gantry = +$1
Average number of gantries that will be passed per day (to and fro) = 6
Total increase per day= +$6
Average working days = 5
Total increase per month = +$120
Do i see pay amount increasing that fast?

Man, please decide what should we poor people do dear government. Don't just give us the GST or Progress package or what growth dividends and then take back more from us...
Should poor/middle income people just start migrating and let foreigners and the rich populate this island?
